Themed Reading Space

"You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book."
-Dr. Seuss

One thing I knew our playroom had to have, was a dedicated reading space for the kids. We have bookshelves filled with books, but it always seemed like we were reaching for the same few books over and over. In order to change that, I created a cozy reading area using our nugget couch, and two floating bookshelves. Not only does this make it more accessible for the kids, it also allows me to cycle through all of our books! This can easily be made with cozy blankets and pillows, or even a special chair. Whatever you have, you can make it work! I typically rearrange the shelves once or twice a month, and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off March than with a Dr. Seuss theme. Check out the items we used for our space below, and celebrate Dr. Seuss, and National Read Across America Day, with us by creating your own space!
